What are fine lines & wrinkles?
Fine lines:
These are shallow, barely noticeable lines that usually appear first around the eyes, mouth, and forehead. They’re often caused by dehydration and a decrease in collagen production.
Wrinkles:
These are deeper, more pronounced lines and creases that develop as the skin loses elasticity and firmness. They tend to appear in areas prone to movement, like the corners of the eyes, mouth, and neck.
Causes of fine lines & wrinkles?
Ageing
As we age, our skin naturally loses collagen and elastin, proteins that provide structure and bounce. This leads to thinner, less elastic skin, prone to wrinkles.
Sun exposure
UV rays are the biggest culprit behind premature ageing and wrinkles. They damage collagen and elastin, leading to deeper wrinkles and uneven skin tone.
Smoking
Smoking restricts blood flow to the skin, depriving it of oxygen and nutrients. It also breaks down collagen and elastin, accelerating wrinkle formation.
Facial expressions
Repetitive facial movements, like squinting or smiling, can create creases that over time become permanent wrinkles.
Dehydration
When your skin lacks moisture, it becomes dry and less plump, highlighting fine lines and wrinkles.
Diet
Poor diet lacking in essential nutrients can deprive your skin of the building blocks it needs to stay healthy and resilient.
Genetics
Some people are predisposed to wrinkling due to their genes, which influence factors like collagen production and skin thickness.

Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers, by adding volume to the skin, can reduce wrinkles, plump lips, and enhance facial features. Offering a non-surgical option for sculpting facial features, they can be a powerful tool for enhancing your appearance. However, it's important to remember that they are temporary and require consultations with qualified professionals.
