    About Morpheus 8 Treatment

As we age, our skin begins to lose its natural elasticity, leading to wrinkles, sagging, and fine lines.

Morpheus8 treatment is a minimally invasive microneedling treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to remodel the skin and treat a variety of skin concerns, including:

The Morpheus8 device delivers radiofrequency energy through tiny needles that penetrate the skin. This heat energy stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which are the proteins that give skin its structure and fullness.

    How Does Morpheus8 Treatment Work?

Dr Raj Thethi - Yorkshire Skin Centre in Leeds

Morpheus8 is an innovative skin tightening treatment that uses microneedling and radiofrequency technology to stimulate collagen and elastin production, resulting in tighter, more youthful-looking skin on the face, neck, and body areas.

The procedure begins with the use of tiny, ultra-fine needles that are part of a handheld device. These needles create controlled micro-injuries on the skin's surface, essentially puncturing the epidermis and reaching the deeper layers known as the dermis. This process is called micro-needling or fractional RF micro-needling.

What sets Morpheus8 apart from traditional micro-needling treatments is the incorporation of radio-frequency energy. The device used in the procedure delivers RF energy through the micro-needles into the underlying tissue.

The combination of micro-needling and RF energy delivery allows for precise and controlled heating of the skin's deep layers. The RF energy stimulates collagen and elastin production, which are essential proteins responsible for skin firmness and elasticity. By heating the dermal layers, the treatment triggers a wound healing response, leading to tissue remodelling and collagen contraction.

The controlled thermal injury prompts the body's natural healing process, leading to the formation of new collagen fibres. This phenomenon is called neocollagenesis, and it helps to rejuvenate and tighten the skin over time.

As the new collagen forms, the skin becomes firmer, tighter, and more lifted. This can result in the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, improved skin texture, and overall skin tone. The RF energy also targets areas of fat, which can lead to contouring effects and improvements in skin laxity.

However, a consultation with our Medical Aesthetic Doctor will help determine if NeoGen Plasma is right for you.

    Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty, also known as an eye lift, is a surgical procedure performed on the eyelids to improve their appearance. It can address concerns like:

    • Excess skin on the upper eyelids: This can obstruct vision and create a hooded appearance.

    • Bags under the lower eyelids: These can make you look tired or aged.

    • Drooping lower eyelids: This can also obstruct vision and contribute to a tired appearance.

    Types of Blepharoplasty:

    • Upper blepharoplasty: This addresses concerns with the upper eyelids, removing excess skin and sometimes fat or muscle tissue.

    • Lower blepharoplasty: This addresses concerns with the lower eyelids, removing excess fat or skin and sometimes repositioning tissues.

    • Asian blepharoplasty: This addresses specific concerns related to the anatomy of Asian eyelids, creating a more defined crease.
