About Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Although we often don’t feel our age, tell-tale lines around our eyes, frown lines, lips and mouths can give our secrets away. Diet, lifestyle, smoking status, sun exposure and other environmental factors can also influence how many lines we get and how early they will appear.

If you’d like to feel more confident in your own skin, facial line softening treatments could be of benefit to you. We’ll have an initial medical consultation with our experienced doctors to make sure this treatment is right for you and provide you with a detailed aftercare plan.

Benefits of Anti-wrinkle Injectable Treatment

All you need to know Anti-Wrinkle Treatment in Leeds
at Yorkshire Skin Centre

It can be confusing when trying to decide between the various treatments available, therefore we recommend a consultation with a qualified member of our medical team, at our multi-award winning clinic, to give you the opportunity of learning a little more about what's involved and how it can benefit you, as well as helping to lay any safety concerns you may have to rest.
We only use genuine products from Industry Leading suppliers and only FDA approved products cut the mustard at YSC. There are lots of cheaper knock offs or derivatives but we just don't get mixed up with these. We only stick with the tried, tested and the best.

The first step in the anti-wrinkle consultation process is to attend a consultation with our qualified practitioner. During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss your concerns, ask questions, and learn more about anti-wrinkle treatments.

You will be greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who will make you feel comfortable and at ease. They will be able to answer any questions you have about the consultation process and the anti-wrinkle treatments that are available.

The consultation is an opportunity to get peace of mind and feel confident about your decision to have anti-wrinkle treatment. The practitioner will be able to assess your individual needs and recommend the best treatment option for you.
The practitioner will take the time to answer all of your questions about anti-wrinkle treatment. They will explain the procedure, the risks and benefits, and the aftercare instructions.
If you are happy with the consultation and you decide to go ahead with treatment, you will be able to book an appointment at the same time. The practitioner will also give you a list of aftercare instructions to follow.
On the day of your treatment, you will be greeted by the practitioner and the nursing staff. They will make sure that you are comfortable and relaxed before the procedure begins. The procedure itself is typically very quick and easy, and there is minimal downtime. You will be able to return to your normal activities immediately after the treatment.
You will be asked to come back for a follow-up appointment a few weeks after your treatment. This is an opportunity for the practitioner to check on your progress and make sure that you are happy with the results.

FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions about Anti-Wrinkle Treatment

No, this is a lunch-break procedure. You should be able to return to your usual activities immediately after treatment.

One treatment every 3-6 months is typically required for desired results.

The effects of anti-wrinkle injections usually take 3-7 days to become visible, with maximum results seen around 14 days after treatment.

Anti-wrinkle injections typically last 3-5 months.

Yes, anti-wrinkle injections can be combined with other anti-aging treatments, such as dermal fillers, to achieve even more dramatic results.

At Yorkshire skin centre we recommend avoiding vigorous exercise, saunas, and steam for 24 hours after treatment. Avoid direct massage of the treated areas for 24 hours and postpone eyebrow treatments or facials for 2 weeks.

A typical consultation involves a relaxed conversation with a qualified medical professional, usually a dermatologist or aesthetic doctor. They will:

✔️Discuss your concerns and goals: Be open and honest about what bothers you about your wrinkles and what you hope to achieve.

✔️Evaluate your skin: We will examine your skin type, wrinkle depth, and overall health to determine the best treatment options.

✔️Explain different treatments: We will discuss various anti-wrinkle options like injectables, lasers, microneedling, and more, outlining their benefits, risks, and suitability for your needs.

✔️Create a personalised plan: Based on your discussion and evaluation, they will recommend a treatment plan tailored to your specific goals and budget.

Popular options include:

✔️Anti-wrinkle injectables and fillers: These injectables relax muscles causing wrinkles(anti-wrinkle injectables) or add volume to areas like lips and cheeks (fillers).

✔️Laser treatments: Lasers target collagen production to tighten skin and reduce wrinkles.

✔️Microneedling: Tiny needles create micro-injuries, triggering collagen production and skin rejuvenation.

✔️Chemical peels: These exfoliate the skin’s top layer, revealing smoother, brighter skin.

When performed by qualified professionals with FDA-approved products, most anti-wrinkle treatments are considered safe. However, like any medical procedure, there can be potential side effects, so it’s crucial to discuss them thoroughly with our doctor during the consultation.

✔️Do your research: Learn about different treatment options beforehand.

✔️Prepare questions: Write down any specific concerns you have.

✔️Be honest and open: Discuss your medical history and any allergies.

✔️Manage expectations: Understand that results may not be immediate and may require multiple sessions.

✔️Choose a qualified professional: Look for board-certified doctors with experience in anti-wrinkle treatments.

Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty, also known as an eye lift, is a surgical procedure performed on the eyelids to improve their appearance. It can address concerns like:

  • Excess skin on the upper eyelids: This can obstruct vision and create a hooded appearance.

  • Bags under the lower eyelids: These can make you look tired or aged.

  • Drooping lower eyelids: This can also obstruct vision and contribute to a tired appearance.

Types of Blepharoplasty:

  • Upper blepharoplasty: This addresses concerns with the upper eyelids, removing excess skin and sometimes fat or muscle tissue.

  • Lower blepharoplasty: This addresses concerns with the lower eyelids, removing excess fat or skin and sometimes repositioning tissues.

  • Asian blepharoplasty: This addresses specific concerns related to the anatomy of Asian eyelids, creating a more defined crease.
